Chinese Take Out?
On a cloudy Sunday in-between storms it's good to keep busy at the art table :)
A while back I had seen a cool tutorial on making small journals using a chopstick as the journal's spine...and I knew I just had to try it!
These small journals have 32 pages and they measure about 4.5 inches by 9 inches...you make the journal the height of the chopstick. I used a piece of heavy weight scrapbook paper for the covers and the inside pages are 32-pound copy paper.
It's a great little journal to keep on your nightstand for jotting down thoughts and ideas!

Dagny: the chopsticks are used for hairsticks in this family as well...well, not my short hair - but those who are blessed with long beautiful locks here ;-)
plumcrafty, Kate: So glad you like them! Thanks for the comment on Craftsters too :)

So cute!! You have the best ideas! :) I have the coolest chopstick/hairstick - my sister beaded the end and it dangles in your hair... however, mine is too short right now to use it!

Tammy, thanks! It sounds like your chopstick/hairstick is just waiting to become a journal :)

Jolene: Those books are lovely. I've always wanted to try my hand at journal making, but I'm still waiting for that "extra time" to come my way!! I have lots of chopsticks, as I use them to eat with every night. It's an old weight control method!!

Britt-Arnhild - thank you. It seems my best ideas come to me in the shower or when I am just about to drift off to sleep....so one of the little notebooks is on my nightstand now ;-)
