    such beautiful pictures of birds near the ocean, living in blue paradise. the one of the hawk is amazing, watching you from above.

    Marita, the hawk hovered above us girls for the longest time - as if posing for photos :) My granddaughter captured some AMAZING photos that Jill will hopefully put on her blog soon!

    Yeah, but the pelicans were cool as well. I see hawks around my mom's house often but only see the pelicans when I head out along the Pacific in SF.

    PlumCrafty Kate - you know, that actually isn't a seagull...and I am not sure what it was - it sort of looked like a hawk or a small eagle...huge talons and a real different attitude.

    Dagny - what trips me out are the EYES on the pelicans - and how they almost seem to be looking right through you and smirking! Love getting close ups of them!
