PhotoFriday

The theme for PhotoFriday today is:

How I See Myself

This photo taken around 1954 has always been my favorite photo of myself because I feel you can see on my face how MUCH I love being at the ocean. I am still that kid (in my mind), with my hands in my pockets spending the day walking along the shore.
(Circa 1954 - Santa Barbara, California)

Such a great photo - your face is positively joyful.

That is how I feel about the ocean too. Although I've never lived near, and I can count on my two hands how many visits I've had to the ocean, there is a draw. I'll live near it one day, I just know!

i hope that you use it in a journal page or three ;)
i am yearning for the days of sitting on the rocks on vacation in Maine looking out at the lighthouse (Nubble Light) and the water...and of course the ice cream that followed ;)

kelly, ah, if only I was still cute...LOL! I am sure this photo will eventually end up in my visual journals....
Now you have me yearning for Maine... :)

A note to everyone reading: Kelly Kilmer and Linda Forrest are the two artists who INSPIRED me to start creating a Visual Journal. If you have a local art/stamp/scrapbook/artsy-craftsy store in your area TELL the owner about Kelly and arrange for her to come and present her workshops there! Visit Kelly's blog at www.kellykilmer.blogspot.com to get in touch with her...TODAY! Linda does not have a blog....YET...displaying her wonderful journal pages that so beautifully reflect her Mexican culture...a culture that has always been dear to my heart and soul. When Linda does create her blog I will announce it HERE!
