    That is a beautiful picture!

I used to live in Anaheim. I used to sit on my balcony and watch the fireworks from D-land pretty much every night.

Yeah, I had no life back then, either.

The first time I went they still sold tickets for the rides... I had an 'E' ticket somewhere in my 'stuff' for the longest time. I wonder what it would sell for on eBay? Prolly better I not know.

My fave ride was Pirates, of course. I don't know why. My daughter loved Tigger the most.

One visit, we were in a cable car and the ride broke down. We were stuck up there on a windy day with a 2 and a half year old.

I think that was the day my daughter learned how to swear, but it was so worth it. We were stuck up there for an hour.

    And how was YOUR visit?

Tammy, thank you! Disneyland was total fun, as always yesterday. On Saturday (my official birthday) I will probably spend it making journals, and going to a 'buck a bag' sale at our city library. WoooHooo BOOKS!

brat- great story. Pirates is the favorite ride of this family. And a little TRUE sidenote...Johnny Depp pretty much 'saved' my granddaughters life at the red carpet premier at Disneyland last year!

tanya - thanks so much! I think I will skip the cake though..trust me, I don't need it! :) Fresh fruit on the grill - now that's the ticket!!

Happy Birthday (early) Jolene! Great picture too. How is the "new" Pirates ride? I haven't made it down there since the revamping. It has always been a family favorite.

    Tami! Hi!
Thanks for the birthday wish :)

As an old-school Disney girl changes at Disneyland don't always make me happy - because you know, when I started going in 1957 the park was in Black and White! Har Har!

I admit I LOVE the 'new' Pirates ride...come on ....what's not to like when you can see Captain Jack Sparrow! He looks so REAL you often wonder if Johnny has snuck in there! OK, wishful thinking...

Thanks for stopping by! You are officially entered in my May giveaway!

Happy Birthday Jolene...and have a great Cinqo de Mayo!

[ I kid you not, while eating at a Mexican cuisine restaurant in the U.S. Midwest around Cinqo de Mayo one year, I asked some locals if they knew when Cinqo de Mayo would be celebrated in the next year. They had no idea (since they didn't even know what the words Cinqo de Mayo meant!) ]

Again, have a great birthday Jolene!

    ;-)
