Some Pretty Pictures While I Am Making Art :)
It's been awhile since I have posted any art...or blogged at all...so I thought I would post a few pretty pictures while my art is a work in progress...
The Lynx sailing into Newport Harbor...
Lynx is an interpretation of an actual privateer named Lynx built by Thomas Kemp in 1812 in Fell's Point, Maryland. She was among the first ships to defend American freedom by evading the British naval fleet then blockading American ports and serving in the important privateering efforts.
The Lynx is used as an educational experience for children and a team building experience for corporations. She spends some of her time here in Newport Beach as well as many other ports including Los Angeles, San Diego and Hawaii.
Although this is one of our narrowest streets in the village of Corona del Mar it is one of my favorites...Poppy Avenue will lead you right to the ocean (Little Corona beach) off of Pacific Coast Highway...I love the trees on this avenue...
Goldenrod Footbridge is right around the bend from our cottage connecting us to the beach ...a stroll across the bridge leads you to the ocean and Look Out Point overlooking Corona del Mar Main Beach, Newport Harbor, Balboa Peninsula, Santa Catalina Island ...and beyond...
More ART is on the way - so stay tuned ;-)

Thank you for the beautiful photos!! How very very pretty! Could you include some more please? Any and all of the things you see everyday, would be a feast for me. How blessed you are to live amidst such lovliness - the ocean, the climate to grow such beautiful flowers and shrubs and all the wonderful things California has to offer.
Wishing you a lovely day,
Cindy

Love the pictures, your area is so..... picturesque! ;)
I especially love the way you say Poppy Street is "narrow". In England that road would have two lanes of traffic, a bus lane and cars parked down both sides!
Keep posting those gorgeous photographs!

Marita - wishing you all the best in your new endeavor! Hugs!
plumcrafty Kate- you have me laughing! Poppy is a two way road, as you see in the photo there is parking only on one side - the other side has a red curb...when I am in my VW Bug and a Hummer comes the other direction I cringe....ha ha!
