I did see an inventive use of the table in a garden on the way back to the boat in Beffes, it was under a wine barrel full of flowers! (They also had rather creative uses for old toilet bowls as well in that garden...)

xxKateAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20185508.post-2581288037695875422007-06-27T00:47:00.000-07:002007-06-27T00:47:00.000-07:00ladytulip...glad you eventually got the hang of it...ladytulip...glad you eventually got the hang of it...it just isn't my thing that is for sure! :)

tongue in cheek (Corey)...thank you...and as always, thank you for visting :)~jolenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06902811364628181561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20185508.post-36120383918947775712007-06-27T00:26:00.000-07:002007-06-27T00:26:00.000-07:00What a perfectly tender post, love the photos too!...What a perfectly tender post, love the photos too!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20185508.post-68449782681063890582007-06-26T05:57:00.000-07:002007-06-26T05:57:00.000-07:00Oh Jolene!! I can sew but hate everything I make because I see the tiny flaws in it. My sister would take the shirts I made for me (and then wouldn't wear) and they looked great on her.

My opinion: Sewing skills must skip a generation.

Thanks for a lovely story and bringing back some fond memories.Gene Blackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15731141629634998152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20185508.post-83859796553308804582007-06-24T12:14:00.000-07:002007-06-24T12:14:00.000-07:00Marita, Lee, Britt...thank you all for the nice co...Marita, Lee, Britt...thank you all for the nice comments and memories you have shared as well...I did make an EDIT to my post...my daughter, Jill, does not sew on the Singer (it could be easily refurbished to use, but we just haven't done it)...Jill uses her new Singer :)~jolenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06902811364628181561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20185508.post-29577940531204853412007-06-24T11:32:00.000-07:002007-06-24T11:32:00.000-07:00Good luck to your daughter.I also have my grandmot...Good luck to your daughter.

I also have my grandmother's old sewingmachine....though I never use it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20185508.post-69824255792407486722007-06-24T08:33:00.000-07:002007-06-24T08:33:00.000-07:00My grandmother Allam had the same sewing machine a...My grandmother Allam had the same sewing machine and I inherited none of her sewing talents either, though my mother did. It's a beautiful antique though. I saw another just like it in Barcelona, in the show apartment in Gaudi's Casa Mila.
